The FoodEnTwin Workshop Organizing Committee invites attendees to register for attendance and submit abstracts for presentation at the 2nd FoodEnTwin Workshop which will take place on February 3-4, 2020 at the Medical University of Vienna in Vienna, Austria.
The 2nd FoodEnTwin Workshop offers a unique opportunity to Scientists and the general public to be informed about cutting-edge research in animal models used for study allergenicity of protein allergens, how protein modifications influence allergenicity in animal models of allergic disease, novel models for predicting changes, and understanding how 3D protein structure is affected by food matrix interactions.
The list of confirmed invited speakers include leading international researchers including:; Katrine Lindholm Bøgh (DTU, Denmark); Karine Adel-Patient (CEA, Paris, France); Antonio Dumont Fernandez (European Food Safety Agency, EFSA, Parma, Italy); Karin Hoffmann-Sommergruber (Medical University of Vienna); Michelle Epstein (Medical University of Vienna, Austria); Tanja Cirkovic Velickovic (University of Belgrade – Faculty of Chemistry, Belgrade, Serbia); Wolfram Weckwerth (University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria).
Topics of interest
- Animal models for studying food and environmental allergy
- Assessing allergenicity with proteomics,
- Health effects of food components modifications;
- Novel in vitro and animal models for predicting effects of environmental stress
Abstracts, which should not exceed 400 words (approximately one A4 page), are peer-reviewed for quality of research, educational and scientific content and impact and scheduled as either poster or oral presentations.
