New successes of project leader and members of project consortium

PROJECT “Production of SARS-CoV2 antigens for development of serological tests in Serbia” is directly funded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The project has so far resulted in expression of several of the SARS CoV-2 antigens in bacterial and mammalian cells, including RBD fragment of S protein, the major antigen in serological tests. 

Consortium of four institutions, led by prof. Cirkovic Velickovic is a finalist of UNDP/WHO Covid19 challenge with the proposed PROJECT of “Serological ELISA test development for IgG antibody detection”. 

PROJECT “Development of ELISA and immuno-PCR for sensitive and specific detection of shellfish tropomyosin” is funded by Science Fund of the RS (2020-2021) in cooperation with prof. Rajkovic of Ghent University. 

The team has also awarded CAPSIDO PROJECT, funded by the Science Fund of the RS within COVID-19 special call, entitled “Development of the assays for detection of SARS Cov-2 virus capsid proteins in biological fluids of COVID19 patients” (Prof. Cirkovic Velickovic, PI, Dragana Stanic-Vucinic, WP leader). 

PROJECT “Impact of environmental pollution on proteome and allergome profiles of shellfish” financed by BOF StG of Ghent University under prof. Cirkovic Velickovic coordination is focusing on the presence of MPs in seafoods, and executed through collaboration with Korean Institute of Analytical Science and Technology.
