Vision on self-organization

To achieve the objectives of the FoodEnTwin project, the consortium partners will implement comprehensive set of measures which are divided subsequently to four Work Packages (WP):


WP1 – Short-term staff exchanges

Twinning through exchange of know-how and experience by staff exchanges towards achieving project’s S&T goals – enabling frontier research and infusion of –omics technologies into the fields of food, nutrition, agriculture and environmental sciences.


WP2 – Spreading knowledge and increasing visibility

– Summer schools organization targeting –omics technologies (proteomics, lipidomics, allegomics, metallomics) for the spreading of the knowledge, raising skills and enabling blending of novel technologies with the fields of food, nutrition and environmental sciences.


WP3 – Dissemination and outreach.

Three workshops organized and a congress. Support for conferences attendance by FoodEnTwin partners. Dissemination activities will target policy makers to raise awareness of a need to support frontier research in widening countries of the EU, the scientific community, industry (to increase application of the scientific results) and lay public (to increase the public support for the efforts made by scientist to solve major societal problems).


WP4 – Project management.

FoodEnTwin Management will be organized in a way to sustain the full effort of the project consortium to achieve the goals of the FoodEnTwin project through effective management and networking.


Steering Committee (SC)

Is decision making body and consists of: Project coordinator – Prof. Tanja Ćirković Veličković (UBFC), Project manager – Prof. Dragana Stanić-Vučinić (UBFC) and 4 Partner representatives – Prof. Michelle Epstein (MUW), Prof. Tatjana Parac-Vogt (KU Leuven), Prof. Marianne van Hage (KI) and Prof. Andreja Rajković (UGent).

Steering committee appoints Work package leaders, Prof. Dušanka Milojković-Opsenica (WP1 leader), Prof. Maja Gruden-Pavlović (WP2 leader) Prof. Sanja Grgurić-Šipka (WP3 leader), and Prof. Dragana Stanić-Vučinić (WP4 leader).

The role of Advisory board is to overlook progress of the project and actively take part in project implementation from the very beginning of the project as well as formulation of roadmap for future collaboration and draft plan for future use and exploitation of project results. It consists of representatives of each EU partner institution (academic partners) – Steering Committee members, additional EU partner institution representatives (additional MUW and 2 UGent departments), UBFC top-management (Vice-Dean of the UBFC, Prof. Dragana Milić), the representatives of five research centres of UBFC involved in twinning activity (Prof.Dušanka Milojković-Opsenica, Prof. Sanja Grgurić-Šipka, Prof. Jelena Mutić, Prof. Branimir Jovančicević, Prof. Maja Gruden-Pavlović) as well as external experts (EuPA, HUPO and EuChemMS representatives: Prof. Andrea Urbani, Prof. Paola Roncada, Prof. Irena Vovk).
